Naturally Nichols
Carolyn and Andrew Nichols emigrated from England to Tasmania
in 1982 and moved to their scenic property 'Redbanks Farm'
at Sisters Creek in 1986. The family (including 4 children)
are keen wildlife conservationists and areas of the farm
are set aside for wildlife habitat. When you purchase a Naturally
Nichols product, part of the proceeds go towards the conservation
of native forest, providing sanctuary for our wildlife.
Naturally Nichols became registered in 1993 and originally
began producing Chicken Pies. However, a change in the business
structure saw us concentrating more on producing Brandy-rich
Christmas Puddings. These were followed by Gourmet Butters
to complement the puddings and then Rich Fruit Cakes.
In 1995, the opportunity arose to purchase Forth Valley
Pork Pies, this ideally fitted in with our traditional English
Fare.
In 2000 we produced a uniquely Tasmanian Product Line that we now refer
to as our Heritage Range. This includes a Heritage Puddings (500g and
100g) and Heritage Cakes (500g). These products incorporate the tastes
of Tasmania, with ingredients such as Leatherwood Honey, Walnuts, apple
and Lemon Myrtle.
Redbanks Farm is also the Hatchery for Nichols Chickens
and the three Stuffing Mixes compliment our poultry lines.
Originally our sales were within Tasmania only, but by word
of mouth and promoting our products on the mainland, we are
now able to supply all Australian states.
